About This NYSED Social Work Board Approved Webinar (4-CEUs)

This lunchtime webinar series offers 4 continuing education contact hours and is held over 2-sessions: Wednesday, May 17th and Wednesday, May 24th of 2017 (11:30 AM – 1:45 PM, on both days). NYSED Social Work Board Approved Certificate will be awarded upon completing both sessions.

Cognitive And Developmental Learning Theories: Guides For Our Moral Compass are a body of theories that emphasize mental aspects of development (i.e. logic and memory). Emphasis will be placed on theories of operational learning, psycho-social stages of development, ethics of justice and moral reasoning. Participants will be able to apply these concepts to garner a more holistic understanding of the typical child development in the context of social work practice with children and families.

About The Instructor

Trélan Nicole Holder, MS, LCSW, is a skilled psychotherapist with extensive years of counseling experience in mental health and human services. Trélan attained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Clark University, her Master of Science Degree in Social Work from Columbia University, and a Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Cardozo Law School. Additionally, her clinical pursuits include: postgraduate psychodynamic psychotherapy training at the NYU Institute for Psycho-analytic Education. Trélan is an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University School of Social Work and the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.
