Global Uncertainty Amidst COVID-19: Impact On Health Outcomes

Course Description

Global Uncertainty Amidst COVID-19: Impact On Health Outcomes explores our present climate of global uncertainty, increased anxiety, profound loss of life and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on behavioral and medical health outcomes.  The curriculum examines the epidemiology, prevalence rates and community spread. Furthermore, evaluates how COVID-19 exacerbates pre-existing racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare and leads to increased morbidity and mortality rates. Practitioners will learn to identify Self-Care Strategies (mindfulness, meditation, breathing and progressive muscle relaxation) to manage distress during these uncertain times.

This training was very informative I was able to get tools I can use for me and in my profession.

    Very Informative and helpful

The information provided in the training was very helpful. It certainly enhanced my knowledge as a professional. I liked how the training focused on various aspects of social economical and mental health globally. The information regarding increased abuse and neglect and associated helpline numbers were a valuable addition. I would have liked some focus on education and barriers to services being discussed for children and individuals with disabilities since feel that it's that population that has been mostly left out of discussions.

The online course was very informative with detailed information that was easy to follow.

    Very Informative and helpful

This training was very informative and helpful. Would encourage this training if you need clarity on specific questions surrounding COVID 19 (i.e. incubation period, latest updates on symptoms, transmission).
